Volunteering with us

Why volunteer?

Volunteering is an amazing opportunity to give back to our community, while also enriching your personal life and wellbeing. The Varsity Lakes Community Resource Centre (VLCRC) plays an integral role in bringing people together, providing low-cost social activities and delivering support services to vulnerable and disadvantaged community members.

Volunteering at the VLCRC is an opportunity to join a wonderful team and help make a positive and tangible impact for others, while also developing new skills and forming meaningful relationships. So why not consider volunteering with us!

There are many ways to get involved at the VLCRC and we welcome volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and circumstances.

Volunteering opportunities include:

  • Administrative tasks

  • Customer service and receptionist duties,

  • Event crew for our community events

  • Specific project and activity support

  • Playgroup assistants

  • Social inclusion classes

  • Perhaps you have a special skill or interest that you would like to share?

Kristy has recently joined our team at the VLCRC and is supporting our wonderful volunteers, she would love to meet with you to discuss volunteering opportunities at the centre and how you can become involved.
