Community Garden

Varsity Vegies is a group of residents, who, with the help of Gold Coast City Council and the Queensland Government’s Community Renewal program are establishing a community garden in Jim Harris Park, off Mattocks Road in Varsity Lakes. Monthly meetings are held to plan the organic garden with new members welcome to join and receive their own 3x3 metre garden upon completion.
The Varsity Vegies community garden is wheelchair friendly with raised beds for those who need them. There will be security fencing around the area, a large shed for tools, workshop and meeting space. The garden is available for your use from dawn to dusk 7 days a week.
